The Cabin Service System (CSS) database is used to configure the Passenger Services System (PSS) on Boeing aircraft.

The service Burrana provides includes the creation of the database to meet the requirements of the LOPA, PSU Layout
and any additional custom requests. We provide Red Label and Black Label databases to accommodate testing and
release requirements, including supporting documentation. We review and provide feedback on any potential issues
and assist the customer to obtain a robust database configuration. We provide support during the testing phase to
assist with loading and fault finding and any end-user questions.
The requirement for a new database is normally due to an internal cabin reconfiguration which, amongst other things, rearranges the LOPA and passenger service unit layout (call light/reading light/seating area).
Reconfigurations like this become more common as airlines look to optimize their fleet in a post-COVID environment. The CSS database update service is for any airline or aircraft owner that intends to re-configure the cabin layout of their Boeing 747, 767 or 777 aircraft.
Re-configuration items that affect the CSS Database are changes to the LOPA and PSU layout, which includes adjustments to chimes, seating, lavatory setup, passenger to attendant call functions and passenger reading lights.
